I often wonder why dogs are loved. Sure, they have four legs and a waggy tail. But let&#039;s face it, do they have a genuine use?

Some bite your face off, others will piddle on your leg (or worse). They have on occasion gained undeservedly the mantle of &#039;man&#039;s best friend&#039; but unlike their furry cousin The Cat, they offer no real affection other than to eat anything in the house, especially soft furnishings and babies.

Having said that, they do make a fine edible delicacy in third world countries such as Germany.</description>
